Christopher hails from Houston, Texas, and is a graduate from Tuskegee and the University of Miami’s film school, and is now “chasing the dream” in Los Angeles as an independent filmmaker. His first spec commercial – for the Houston Comets basketball team – was showcased on the WNBA.com website. After directing his second short film, The Birthday Club, he went on to screen his spec music video for SopeStar at the Toronto Online Film Festival. He then directed the spec sitcom pilot Livin’ in LA with a group of local actors. No rest for the ambitious. Since starting on his wonderful cinematic journey Christopher has worked on a variety of television and film projects starring the likes of Spike Lee, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Gloria Estefan, Halle Berry, Will Smith, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher. When it comes to writing, Christopher has written virtually everything he has produced. He is currently tickling his own funny bone, by shopping his Christmas comedy, A Miracle On A 125th Street in addition to starting his next script, a comedic “whodunit?” set in the deep south. His game show spoof, Jepardee! has screened at over ten festivals internationally, while garnering two Best Short Awards. Most recently, he directed a spec PSA for Allstate Insurance and his spec sitcom Lost in Dangerous. If you like Entourage and black people, you’ll love it! Now exploring another facet of his filmmaking passion, he’s in production on his first full-length documentary ~ Ophelia DeVore: Model/Citizen, the story of one of America’s first black fashion models. Christopher Marlon is a gifted filmmaker and a talent in the making – one who’s ready to break the filmmaking world wide open!
